What do you need to have a shower? The major ingredient is a spray of water, usually from above, plus a device to spray it and a system for conveying the water to the device. In most interiors, you also need some form of surround, to stop the water from spraying in all directions.
With the Pluviae, Matteo Thun has taken all these basic requirements and incorporated them in a single ingenious product. A metal water pipe attached to the wall well above head level describes a complete circle before spiralling on itself and completing its journey at the shower head, located in the very centre of the circle. If you want a shower curtain,
all you need to do is to hang it from the water pipe, which doubles as a curtain rail: it could hardly be any simpler. Of course, if errant spray is no problem, you can do without the curtain.
At floor level, choose the built-in drainage surface in wood, granite or duralmond.
Step in and under the Pluviae for the refreshing experience of standing
under a natural waterfall on a hot summer’s day. This is showering taken back to its simple origins.
